Accident in Sambir: Woman Injured after Minibus Collision
The road accident occurred on February 21, around 5:30 PM, on Shevchenka Street in Sambir.
Circumstances of the Incident
As preliminarily established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Master minibus, a 21-year-old resident of a village in the Lviv district, struck a pedestrian, a 51-year-old local woman.
As a result of the accident, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigation
Investigators of the Sambir district police department have opened a criminal proceeding under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article is up to three years of imprisonment, with revocation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
