In the Lviv region, patrol officers detained the driver of an Audi A6 for using flashing beacons without the proper permission. The incident occurred at the 542 km mark of the M-06 Kyiv — Chop highway.
Red and blue light signals were installed behind the vehicle’s radiator grille. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that the 20-year-old driver did not possess the necessary documents for the use of these special signals.
The police drew up a protocol under Article 122⁵ of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences for the illegal use of flashing beacons. The young man attempted to justify himself, but to no avail.
