An elderly woman was injured by a bus in Lviv – police are establishing the circumstances
The road accident occurred on 19 September, around 14.00, on Franko Street in Lviv.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of the Etalon bus, a 42-year-old resident of a village in Lviv district, hit a pedestrian, a 77-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the elderly woman was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
