A 26-year-old resident of Dublyana was taken to the intensive care unit with serious injuries.
The traffic accident happened on July 19, around 11:00 p.m., on Chervonaya Kalyna Avenue in Lviv.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Ford Focus car, a 29-year-old man from Lviv, hit an electric scooter driven by a 26-year-old resident of the city of Dublyana, who was crossing a pedestrian crossing.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the electric scooter received serious injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Transport Sector of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years or without it.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
