
A road traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, resulting in a pedestrian being injured.
The incident happened on November 12 around 19:45 near the village of Kymyr. According to preliminary data, the driver of an Opel Corsa, a 76-year-old foreigner, hit a 43-year-old resident of the Lviv district. The pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article is imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
Law enforcement officers are determining the circumstances of the event. The operation “Pedestrian” has started in the Lviv region, aimed at preventing death and injury on the road. Police urge adherence to traffic rules.
