The traffic accident occurred on October 5 at around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Hrushevsy and Volodymyr Veliky streets in the city of Stebnyk, Drohobytsky district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, a “Peugeot Boxer” car (ambulance) driven by a 31-year-old local resident and a “Citroen” minibus driven by a 37-year-old resident of Stebnyk collided. As a result of the incident, the driver of the Citroen and the passenger of the Peugeot were injured and taken to the hospital.
It was also established that the driver of the “ambulance” was driving the vehicle while intoxicated.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Drohobytsky district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
