A coffee shop selling drugs and psychotropics has been discovered in downtown Lviv.
According to the investigation, three individuals organized a scheme to sell narcotic substances under the guise of official retail outlets. A 45-year-old Kyiv resident purchased the illegal substances, packed them, and repackaged them into convenient containers for sale. In his residence, a ‘laboratory’ was set up where candies, gummies, chocolate bars, and other products containing narcotic substances were manufactured.
The ‘goods’ were transported to Lviv, where they were sold through a network of stores – ‘coffee shops’. One such shop was located in the city center. The shop assistants, local residents, were aware of the illegal substances in the products but marketed them as legal.
In January, the ‘coffee shop’s’ activities were halted. During the raids, drug-laden products, cash, equipment for making the products, and other evidence were seized. All three participants have been charged with the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances.
