A 32-year-old man has been exposed in Lviv region, suspected of illegally smuggling individuals across the state border of Ukraine.
The investigation claims that the suspect organized the acquisition of documents for two men liable for military service to travel abroad. These documents contained false information about their purported military service and leave to Poland. The cost of the services was 4,000 US dollars for two people.
Despite the attempt to travel with forged documents, the men were detained by border guards. The suspect has been remanded in custody with the possibility of bail. The investigation is ongoing, with all involved individuals being identified.
“The person is considered innocent of committing a crime until proven guilty in court,” – as stated in the Constitution of Ukraine.
