A new case of violence among military personnel has been uncovered in Prykarpattia, where a local resident suffered.
According to the investigation, one of the security personnel of the district territorial recruitment center in Ivano-Frankivsk region, along with the deputy head, humiliated and physically attacked a conscripted man. The military resorted to violent actions following the man’s refusal to undergo a medical examination by the military medical commission. The deputy repeatedly struck the victim in the groin area while a subordinate forcibly restrained him. They then forced the man to undress and led him to the X-ray room, continuing the assault and using tear gas.
Participants in the incident have been notified of suspicion under part 3 of article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to 12 years of imprisonment. The procedural leadership is conducted by the Ivano-Frankivsk specialized defense prosecution in the Western region.
