Police detain offender in Lviv on suspicion of distributing psychotropic substance “PVP”
A resident of Vinnytsia region, who intended to sell “goods” by means of “bookmarks” in the city, faces up to ten years in prison.
The 22-year-old offender was exposed by operatives of the Drug Crime Department of the Lviv Police jointly with investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 and detained on July 20, around 21.00, on Zaliznychna Street.
The man was carrying 51 rolls of psychotropic substance “PVP” weighing about 50 grams, which he planned to sell by “bookmarking” in Lviv.
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, served the detainee a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect faces imprisonment for a term of four to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
