Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the citizen of Ukraine was notified of the suspicion in absentia. He is charged with treason, participation in a terrorist organization and activities of armed formations not provided for by law (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 1 of Article 258-3, Part 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in 2014, a resident of the Donetsk region left the position of inspector of the patrol service and voluntarily went over to the side of the enemy. The man joined the illegal armed formations “People’s Militia of Donbas” and “People’s Militia” of the so-called “DNR” terrorist organization.
The figure served in one of the units of military intelligence.
From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he fought in the Mariupol direction.
A special pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the TU SBU located in the city of Lviv, operational support is provided by the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
