Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a citizen of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of treason, participation in a terrorist organization, and the activities of armed groups not provided for by law (Part 1 of Article 111, Part 1 of Article 258-3, Part 2 of Article 260 Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the native of Dovzhansk voluntarily went over to the side of the enemy at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.
The suspect served as a sniper of an illegal armed formation of the terrorist organization known as the “LPR”.
He was detained while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region.
He is currently being held in a Ukrainian penitentiary.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the SBU Department in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
