A 35-year-old resident of Khmelnytsk was informed of suspicion under the procedural guidance of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv. He is accused of illegal acquisition and possession of psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, before the curfew in Lviv, police officers stopped the suspect to check his documents. With it, they discovered amphetamine with a total weight of about 1 kg.
Law enforcement officers seized a psychotropic substance packed in zip-bags and bookmarks.
Investigations are ongoing.
The suspect was remanded in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
