Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv, a 28-year-old local resident was served a notice of suspicion. He is charged with illegal acquisition and storage of particularly dangerous psychotropic substances in large amounts with the intent to sell (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in June 2024, in Lviv, the suspect intended to sell a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance. In particular, it was PVP.
To do this, the man ordered a consignment of psychotropic drugs on Telegram. After receiving the parcel at the post office, he put it in his car, which he was going to use to leave the scene. However, the suspect was detained by law enforcement.
During searches in the man’s car, the SBU found and seized a prohibited substance with an estimated weight of about 4 kg. Its value at black market prices is almost UAH 3 million.
A pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail was imposed on him.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region with the operational support of the SBU Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
