The Frankiv district prosecutor’s office of the city of Lviv ensured the real implementation of the decision of the Economic Court of the Lviv region. According to the latter, damages for pollution of land resources in the amount of about UAH 900,000 were collected from the business entity.
Prosecutors proved in court that the company carried out economic activity on one of the streets of Zaliznychny district of the city of Lviv, but violated the requirements of environmental protection legislation.
The facts of land pollution on the territory of the company have been established. In particular, due to the clogging of the soil surface with the remains of construction materials and scrap metal, damage was caused to the surrounding natural environment.
At present, the court’s decision has actually been implemented through the efforts of the prosecutor’s office – the damages have been compensated in full.
