33 fires extinguished in Lviv region in a day, one person killed

In the Lviv region over the past day, rescuers extinguished 33 fires, 22 of which broke out in ecosystems. According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region, a man died in the Zolochiv district, while during a fire in Lviv one person was rescued.

The State Emergency Service notes that rescuers also prevented 5 buildings within the danger zone from being destroyed by fire.

According to emergency services, the most common cause of fires remains human carelessness, particularly when burning dry vegetation and failing to observe fire safety rules.

The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region stresses the need to refrain from burning dry grass and to comply with the established rules, as this will help reduce the number of fires and the risks to people’s lives and property.
