In Lviv region over the past day firefighters have dealt with 28 fires, 15 of which broke out in natural ecosystems.
While tackling the blazes, firefighters prevented the destruction of 7 buildings and one car. According to available information, the most common cause of fires remains human negligence.
Rescuers are urging residents not to burn dry grass and to follow fire safety rules, stressing that the emergency services operate around the clock, but personal safety depends on responsible behaviour from everyone.
