
In Lviv region over the past day firefighters dealt with 33 fires, 14 of them in natural ecosystems. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.
While extinguishing the fires, firefighters rescued 1 person and prevented 10 buildings from being destroyed by the flames.
One person died as a result of a fire in a residential building.
The State Emergency Service notes that the most common cause of fires remains human carelessness, in particular the burning of dry vegetation and failure to comply with fire safety regulations.
