In Lviv region over the past day firefighters have dealt with 14 fires, 6 of which broke out in natural ecosystems. While tackling the blazes, fire crews prevented the flames from destroying two buildings.
According to available information, the most common cause of fires remains careless human behaviour. Firefighters are urging residents not to burn dry grass and to strictly observe fire safety rules.
The rescue service stresses that they operate around the clock, but safety largely depends on responsible behaviour by the public.
