
In the Lviv region, over a 24-hour period, there were 12 road traffic accidents involving casualties. As a result of these collisions, 13 people were injured, and another pedestrian died from injuries sustained after being hit by a car.
Law enforcement officers are urging drivers to observe safe speed limits and distances, to use seat belts, not to be distracted by gadgets, and to keep their attention focused on driving. They are asking motorists to be particularly vigilant near pedestrian crossings and in places where children may be present.
Pedestrians are advised to cross the road in accordance with the Highway Code and, in the hours of darkness or in poor visibility, to use reflective elements on their clothing to make themselves more visible to drivers.
