So, on January 24, around 5:00 p.m., the driver of a Renault Scenic car, a 32-year-old resident of Stebnyk, hit a 51-year-old local woman on Vasyl Stus Street in Truskavets. As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Another traffic accident occurred around 5:35 p.m. at the intersection of Horodotska-Ryashivska streets in Lviv. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Zafira car, a 59-year-old man from Lviv, hit a 63-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, an elderly woman was injured and taken to a medical facility.
Based on these facts, the investigators of the territorial units of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
