The Lviv regional police once again calls on all road users to strictly follow the traffic rules, and on drivers to not exceed the speed limit, avoid risky manoeuvres and be careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings. Take care of your life and health!
On 5 September, at around 16.10, on Lychakivska Street in Lviv, the driver of a Jeep Cherokee, a 47-year-old Lviv resident, hit a 29-year-old resident of Lviv. As a result of the accident, the woman was injured and hospitalised.
Three pedestrians, including an eight-year-old girl, were injured in Lviv region over the past day
Another road accident occurred around 20.00 on Valova Street in Stryi. As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of an Opel Astra, a 25-year-old resident of Stryi, hit two pedestrians, an eight-year-old local resident and a 49-year-old resident of Drohobych. As a result of the accident, the pedestrians were injured and taken to a medical facility.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the incidents under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules). The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
