The police of the Lviv region once again urges drivers not to exceed the permitted speed, to refrain from risky maneuvers and to be careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings. Take care of life and health!
So, on January 2, around 3:50 p.m., on Uhorska Street in Lviv, as previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of a Honda CR-V car, a 70-year-old man from Lviv, while reversing, hit an 85-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the elderly man was injured and hospitalized.
Another traffic accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Chornovola Avenue. Previously, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf car, a 20-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a 26-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Based on these facts, investigators of the territorial units of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
