The police of the Lviv Region urges you to be careful, strictly follow the requirements of the Traffic Rules, do not exceed the speed limit and follow the road conditions. Take care of life and health – your own and those around you.
So, on August 23, around 09:00, on Kulparkivska Street in Lviv, the driver of a Citroen C4 car, a 52-year-old Lviv resident, hit a cyclist, a 67-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the elderly man was injured and hospitalized.
Another traffic accident occurred around 18.00 in the town of Belz, Chervonograd district. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Fiat Doblo car, a 38-year-old resident of Sosnivka, hit a cyclist, a 71-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, an elderly woman was injured and taken to the hospital.
Based on these facts, investigators of the territorial units of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
