In January-August of this year, the police recorded 87 traffic accidents in the territory of Lviv Oblast, which were caused by ignoring traffic lights. As a result of car accidents, 27 people were injured and 2 people died.
In addition to endangering oneself and other road users, violation of Clause 8.7.3.e of the Traffic Regulations of Ukraine provides for administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 122 (Driving at a prohibited traffic light signal) KUPAP. The fine is 510 hryvnias.
It should also be remembered that according to clause 8.7.3.g — the yellow color of the traffic light prohibits movement and warns of the next change of signals.
