Resident of Berdiansk is sentenced to more than 9 years in prison for buying amphetamine and PVP for sale
Following a public prosecution by prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv, a 21-year-old resident of Berdiansk was found guilty of illegal acquisition and storage of psychotropic substances with intent to sell in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 9 years and 3 months in prison with confiscation of property.
The prosecutor proved in court that in June 2022 in Lviv, the defendant intended to sell psychotropic substances.
To do this, the man ordered a batch of amphetamine and PVP packaged in 55 ziplock bags on Telegram. However, he failed to sell the “goods”, as the defendant was exposed and detained by law enforcement officers in a timely manner.
Until the verdict enters into force, the defendant will be held in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
