Prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office proved in court the guilt of a man who planned an explosion in the Lviv region.
The man, a 33-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih, was looking for ‘easy money’ on Telegram and established contact with a representative of Russia. For a monetary reward, he agreed to detonate explosives near a public transport stop where military personnel were expected to be present. **Random passersby could have been harmed.**
For carrying out this ‘task,’ he was promised to be paid 1,000 USD. He traveled to the Lviv region, found a backpack with explosive devices in a stash, but was apprehended by law enforcement.
He is charged with high treason and illegal possession of explosives. Until the verdict becomes legally binding, the accused will be held in custody.
