
The largest road accident in the last decade in the Lviv region has ended with sentences for the perpetrators.
Following a public prosecution by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, two residents of the Lviv district have been sentenced in criminal proceedings related to a traffic accident resulting in the death of 8 people.
The driver has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment with a 10-year driving ban, while the passenger has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with a probation period of 3 years.
The driver was charged with leaving someone in danger and violating traffic safety rules while being under the influence of alcohol. The passenger was charged with failing to provide assistance to a person in a life-threatening condition.
