In support of the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a resident of Sambir region was found guilty of justifying, recognizing as legitimate and denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, glorifying such persons, violating the equality of citizens and propaganda of war (Part 2, 3 of Article 436-2, Part 1 Article 161, Article 436 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Prosecutors proved in court that from March to June 2022, the convicted woman distributed posts on her personal page in the banned Odnoklassniki social network in which she justified and recognized the legitimate armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
In addition, she distributed posts in which she glorified persons participating in and facilitating the armed invasion of the sovereign territory of Ukraine. In particular, she glorified the army, praised the military armed forces of the Russian Federation with the words: “You are our pride”, “Our defenders”, “gods of war”, “Bow to you”, “Victory will be with us”, etc.
The woman also spread offensive statements that humiliate the national honor and dignity of the Ukrainian nation, its statehood and sovereignty.
