Under the procedural leadership of the Drohobytsk District Prosecutor’s Office, a 38-year-old man previously convicted of illegal acquisition, storage and sale of psychotropic substances was exposed and notified of suspicion (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in Truskavets the suspect was selling a particularly dangerous prohibited substance – PVP.
The man accepted orders for goods only from his regular, proven customers from among the local population. He agreed on the meeting place over the phone and transferred psychotropic drugs directly from hand to hand.
During searches of the detainee’s place of residence, a plastic bag with a crystalline substance, packing zip bags, and a paper roll with a white substance were found and seized.
At the prosecutor’s request, the suspect was remanded in custody
Investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of appointing a number of examinations is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of police department No. 2 of the Drohobytsky district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
