Almost 35 hectares of defense lands in the border zone of Rivne region have been returned to state ownership.
Based on the lawsuit by prosecutors from the Rivne Special Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region, the state has regained rights to nearly 35 hectares of land located within the border zone of Varash district, Rivne region. **These lands were illegally removed from state ownership** and transferred to the Zarichne settlement territorial community, after which they were used improperly.
At the same time, these plots border the Republic of Belarus and have strategic significance, as they are located within the border zone. According to the law, such lands can only be in state ownership and cannot be transferred to communal or private ownership.
*The court agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments and decided on the return of the lands to the state*. Pursuant to the court’s decision, these plots were transferred for permanent use to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
