In the house of a 62-year-old resident of a village in the Lviv District, police discovered unregistered weapons and ammunition. MVS Lviv reported that these facts were uncovered during a search conducted by law enforcement officers.
Thanks to the prompt work of the police and the investigators of Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office, the following items were seized: a Flobert revolver, an unregistered hunting rifle, more than 150 cartridges of various calibres, and a container of gunpowder. Everything seized has been sent for expert examination.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated in connection with this under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, during which law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the weapons and ammunition, as well as analysing the possible involvement of the individual in other crimes.
