Resident of Bushtyna to be Tried for Selling Grenades

A 42-year-old man from Bushtyna is to stand trial for illegally selling grenades. The Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office has submitted an indictment against him to the court. The man purchased and later sold defensive and offensive fragmentation hand grenades, receiving 10,000 UAH for them.

The investigation established that the transaction took place in a secluded area, near a forest, to avoid unwanted attention. The Zolochiv District Police Department is investigating the matter.

The indictment accuses the man of violating part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for acquiring, storing, and selling munitions without permission. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court.
