Police have taken into custody one of the suspects involved in the attack on artists of the national ensemble.
Two other individuals have been placed under round-the-clock house arrest by the court. The incident occurred on December 7 at a gas station in Sheptytskyi, where a group of individuals had a confrontation with the driver and passengers of a minibus. Five artists and the driver, all residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, were injured.
Investigators from the Sheptytskyi district police department have pressed charges against four residents of Sheptytskyi for hooliganism. A 20-year-old resident is also charged with resisting a law enforcement officer. The maximum penalty for these crimes is up to four years of imprisonment.
The Sheptytskyi city court has decided on a preventive measure of detention for the 20-year-old offender, with the option of bail. Residents of Sheptytskyi aged 17 and 18 have been placed under round-the-clock house arrest. The whereabouts of the fourth suspect are being established, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
