Perpetrators from Lviv Accused of Mugging a Woman

In Lviv, two young men are accused of attacking a woman near a public transport stop on Horodotska Street. The incident occurred on 13th February at around 8:30 am. The attackers knocked down a 45-year-old Lviv resident, snatched a package from her hands and ripped a handbag off her shoulder containing money, a tablet, and documents.

To solve the crime, crime investigators, detectives, and other services from Police Department No.1 of the Lviv District Police Department No.2 were involved. The police swiftly identified a 24-year-old Lviv citizen and a 22-year-old Transcarpathian, who were detained according to Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal case, opened under Part 4 of Article 186 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed. As a result of procedural guidance by the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, the indictment has been referred to the court. For their actions, the accused face a punishment of seven to ten years imprisonment.
