On 11 September, an elevated level of fire danger is forecast across the Lviv region. According to meteorologists, most districts will see high (class 4) and moderate (class 3) fire danger, with an extreme level (class 5) expected in some areas.
The weather conditions will favour the rapid ignition and spread of fires in ecosystems where there are sources of open flame. This applies primarily to forested areas, dry grass and other natural territories.
Across the Lviv region on 11 September, high and in places extreme fire danger will persist. In the city of Lviv, high fire danger (class 4) will also remain in place on this day.
Residents of the region and of Lviv are urged to refrain from lighting campfires in forests and parks, not to burn dry vegetation and to exercise caution with any sources of fire in open areas.
