
The Ukrainian Veterans Fund of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine is offering compensation of up to 20 thousand hryvnias for purchased goods and items needed to run a veteran-owned business.
The programme is open to war veterans who are registered as sole traders (FOP) or carry out independent professional activities within the meaning set out in the Tax Code of Ukraine, and who have the status of a veteran entrepreneurship entity.
The following package of documents must be attached to the compensation application, in particular:
- a copy of the applicant’s identity document (passport with all pages, ID card with an extract on registered place of residence, or a residence permit in Ukraine);
- a document confirming registration as a sole trader (FOP) (a copy of an extract from the EDRPOU or another official resource with up-to-date data) or a certificate in form 34-OPP for persons engaged in independent professional activity;
- a document confirming one of the war veteran statuses (combatant’s certificate or a certificate of a person with a disability as a result of war);
- an extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans confirming the status of a veteran entrepreneurship entity and issued no more than 7 calendar days before submitting the application to the Fund;
- documents confirming payment for and receipt of goods related to entrepreneurial or independent professional activities (account statements, receipts, delivery notes, etc.).
The submitted financial documents must clearly confirm that the expenses were incurred by the applicant, make it possible to identify the list of purchased goods, and confirm the fact of their receipt.
The funds provided under the programme are not reimbursed for planned future purchases or for the repayment of loan obligations. In addition, the same person may receive compensation only once.
