Water level on the Dniester expected to rise on 27–28 July

On the evening of 27 July and throughout 28 July, water levels in the Dniester basin rivers within Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions are expected to rise by 0.2–0.8 m compared with the readings at 08:00 on 27 July. According to the forecast, these changes are not expected to lead to adverse consequences.

Meteorologists warn that during periods of heavy rain, substantial local and slope runoff may form. On small waterways this may cause a sharp and short-lived rise in water levels, so residents of riverside areas are advised to monitor the situation and exercise caution.
