Throughout 1 October, a predominantly high wildfire risk of class 4 will persist across Lviv region, with a moderate, class 3 risk forecast in some areas. Weather conditions will favour an increased likelihood of wildfires breaking out and spreading in ecosystems where there are sources of open flame.
According to meteorologists, from 1 to 5 October a consistently high wildfire risk of class 4 is expected across the entire Lviv region and in the city of Lviv.
Rescue services are urging residents and visitors to the region to refrain from burning dry vegetation, lighting campfires in forests and near fields, and to make sure cigarette ends and other potential sources of ignition are fully extinguished.
