Between 4 and 6 August 2026, further intensification of the heat is expected across Lviv region. According to meteorologists, this is due to the prolonged influence of an anticyclone and the arrival from Europe of a very warm air mass.
During 4–6 August, daytime temperatures are forecast to reach severe heat of 35–39°, and on 5–6 August, in some areas, extreme heat of 40–42° above zero is possible. Due to these conditions, a Level III danger (red) has been declared.
Meteorologists warn that the high temperatures may complicate the operation of energy and public utility companies, affect road and electric transport, and also have an adverse impact on the well-being and daily life of the population.
It is noted that the meteorological information will be further refined in subsequent warnings and weather forecasts.
