On 24 August, a predominantly moderate level of fire danger (class 3) is forecast across Lviv region, with some areas seeing high (class 4) and extreme (class 5) levels. Under such conditions, the presence of open flames significantly increases the risk of fires breaking out and rapidly spreading in ecosystems.
According to meteorologists, on 24–25 August, high (class 4) and extreme (class 5) fire danger will persist in places across the region, and on 26 August this situation is expected to extend to the entire territory of Lviv region.
It is noted separately that in Lviv on 26 August a high (class 4) level of fire danger is forecast.
In this regard, residents are urged to refrain from burning dry vegetation, not to light campfires in forests or near fields, and to notify the rescue services immediately if any fire is detected.
