On 13 August, a high (4th class), in places extreme (5th class) and in some areas moderate (3rd class) level of fire danger is forecast for Lviv region. Under such conditions, the risk of fires breaking out and spreading rapidly in ecosystems increases significantly in the presence of open flames.
According to meteorologists, a high (4th class) and in places extreme (5th class) level of fire danger will persist across Lviv region from 13 to 15 August.
In Lviv, a high (4th class) level of fire danger is expected on 13–14 August, and an extreme (5th class) level is forecast for 15 August.
In such conditions, residents are urged to minimise the use of open flames in open areas, not to burn dry vegetation and to keep a close watch for any signs of smoke or fire.
