In the second half of 18 July and throughout 19–20 July, meteorologists forecast a change in the hydrological situation on a number of rivers in the western regions of Ukraine.
A rise in water levels above the 08:00 17 July readings is expected, without adverse consequences:
- on rivers in the Sian and Dniester basins in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions — by 0.3–1 m;
- on the left tributaries of the Dniester within Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions — by 0.1–0.5 m.
Meteorologists warn that during intensive rainfall, significant local and slope runoff may form, so residents of coastal areas should pay close attention to forecast updates and warnings.
