Hydrological overview of rivers in Lviv region as of 19 July

As of 08:00 on 19 July 2026, between 0.4 and 15 mm of precipitation was recorded over the past 24 hours across Lviv region, in places 19–22 mm, and locally up to 40 mm (at the Dniester River hydrological post in the urban-type settlement of Zhuravno).

Minor fluctuations in water levels within 1–10 cm, mainly with an upward trend, were observed on rivers in the Dniester basin. On the lowland sections of rivers in the San and Western Bug basins, the daily rise in water levels reached up to 5 cm.

The water temperature in the upper reaches of the mountain rivers of the Dniester basin ranged between 12–19°, and on other rivers in the region between 17–24°.

According to expert advice, due to expected precipitation over the coming 24 hours, water levels on rivers in the Dniester basin are forecast to rise; warning No. Гк-17 of 17 July 2026 on changes in the hydrological situation remains in force. On the lowland rivers of the San and Western Bug basins, minor fluctuations in water levels are expected, mainly with a tendency to rise.
