On 4 September, a moderate (3rd class), in places high (4th class) and extreme (5th class) level of fire danger is forecast across the region.
Under such weather conditions, the likelihood of fires breaking out and spreading rapidly in ecosystems increases if sources of ignition appear, particularly open flames. Residents and visitors to the region are advised to refrain from burning dry vegetation, lighting campfires in forests and near fields, and to keep a close watch for any signs of smoke.
