On 12 October, a major disruption to the water supply occurred in Drohobych and the surrounding settlements. As reported by KP «Drohobychvodokanal», due to an emergency at the pumping station of the Uryzh water intake, the supply of water to part of the city and several villages in the community has been temporarily suspended.
In Drohobych, the streets Sambirska, P. Sahaidachnoho, Lesi Ukrainky, I. Franka, T. Shevchenka (even numbers), Horishnia Brama, Zavizhna, Zvarytska, M. Kotsiubynskoho, Sichovykh Striltsiv, 22 Sichnia, S. Nalyvaika, A. Sheptytskoho, the streets adjacent to them, as well as the Nova Voloshcha and Hyriwka neighbourhoods, have been left without water supply.
Problems with the water supply have also arisen in the villages of Nahuievychi, Uniatychi, Lishnia and Uryzh, which receive water from this pumping station.
The municipal enterprise notes that they plan to restore the water supply after the completion of emergency repair works, provisionally after 20:00 on 12 October. Residents are asked to be understanding about the temporary inconvenience and, where possible, to use existing water reserves sparingly.
