On 20 August, Lviv Municipal Utility Company “Lvivvodokanal” will be carrying out works to connect a newly built water main on Zelenа Street in Lviv, on the section between Zhasmynova and Pivkolo streets. As a result, from 09:00 to 18:00 the water supply will be cut off to a number of nearby streets, and water will be delivered to residents. This was reported by Lviv Municipal Utility Company “Lvivvodokanal”.
For the duration of the works, the following streets will be temporarily without water supply: Bilotserkivska, Brusnivska, Berezhanska, Buzkova, A. Lupynosa, Vitryakova, Vyhin, Hostynna, Dnisterska, Dunaiska, Zhasmynova, Kam’ianetska, Videnska, Kerchenska, O. Kozlovskoho, Koliina, Kolodiazna, Krymska, Lypova Aleia, Lystopadna, S. Lytvynenka, Luhanska, Mebliarska, V. Navrotskoho, Orlyna, Radist, I. Rakovskoho, Romashkova, A. Svydnytskoho, Slyvova, Sumska, Susidnia, D. Taniachkewycha, Uhorska, Shakhtarska, Dzh. Vashynhtona (buildings 1, 3, 3a), as well as a significant number of buildings on Zelenа Street (in particular Nos. 89–97, 99–107, 109, 111, 113, 115 with various blocks, 118–121, 125, 127, 130, 137, 140, 143b, 144–158, 162, 164, 166, 172, 176, 179, 181, 182, 184, 186, 198, 198a, 200, 204 with blocks, 208, 212, 214).
The water supply will also be cut off to certain buildings on Pasiky Halytski Street (Nos. 2, 3), Rakhivska Street (Nos. 1, 3, 5, 7–12, 15, 17–20, 20a, 24, 26–32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 46, 48, 48a, 50, 50a, 50b, 52, 54, 56, 56a, 58, 60, 62), on Ternopilska Street (building No. 21 with all lettered blocks, as well as Nos. 24, 26, 28, 29, 32, 34, 34a, 34b, 36, 38, 40, 42, 46) and on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue (Nos. 1, 2, 2v, 3–12, 15, 18, 22, 24, 24a, 24b, 25, 25a, 27, 29).
To ensure residents have access to water during the shutdown, deliveries will be organised: a water tank will be placed at 32 Dunaiska Street; a water tanker will be on standby at 27 Dnisterska Street near the children’s hospital; another water tanker will be stationed at the junction of Lypova Aleia and Zelena streets.
Residents are asked by the utility company to prepare in advance and store the necessary amount of water. Once the works are completed, the water main will be filled and flushed. Lvivvodokanal warns that during the restoration of supply, temporary discolouration of the water or the appearance of minor sediment is possible due to deposits being washed out in the network.
“During the restoration of the water supply, temporary discolouration of the water or the appearance of minor sediment is possible as a result of deposits being washed off the walls of the external and internal building water supply networks. Before using the water for drinking, we recommend running it for several minutes until it becomes completely clear,” Lvivvodokanal noted.
