In the town of Zhovkva and the surrounding areas, it has been made compulsory to conclude contracts for the removal of household waste. Oversight of compliance with this requirement is being stepped up.
By 1 October 2026, residents of the private housing sector, as well as businesses, institutions and organisations, must sign a waste removal contract with the service provider — TzOV “Ekovey Weist Menedzhment”. Telephone contact with the company is available for arranging contracts and obtaining advice.
The announcement stresses that the absence of such a contract is considered a breach of the Rules for the Improvement of the Town of Zhovkva and the Adjacent Territories. After 1 October 2026, the public amenities inspector of KP “Zhovkivske MVUZhKG” will carry out checks on the existence of contracts and compliance with requirements for waste management.
If the absence of a contract or other violations are identified, the inspector will draw up a report on an administrative offence for the subsequent bringing of those responsible to account and the imposition of a fine in accordance with Article 152 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences. It is separately noted that in cases of illegal dumping of waste, offenders will be identified and held liable within the framework of current legislation.
Residents are urged not to create illegal rubbish dumps and to take care of the cleanliness of the town and villages, as order and the proper state of the environment are a shared responsibility for everyone.
