
On Thursday and Friday, 23–24 July, continuous asphalting of the carriageway will be carried out on Stryiska Street in Lviv, on the section from the city boundary to Vernadskyi Street in the direction of entry into Lviv. During this time, the section will be completely closed to private and public transport. This was reported by the Sykhiv District Administration of Lviv.
Two-way traffic will be organised on the opposite side of Stryiska Street. Drivers are asked to plan their journeys in advance and take the temporary restrictions into account.
“We will be asphalting the road continuously across the full width of the carriageway in the direction of entry into the city. In this regard, the specified section from the city boundary to Vernadskyi Street will be completely closed to public and private transport. Accordingly, two-way traffic will be organised on the opposite side of Stryiska Street. We ask drivers to treat the temporary inconvenience with understanding and to plan their routes in advance,” — Sykhiv District Administration
As clarified by the Transport Department of the Lviv City Council, on Thursday, 23 July, due to repair works at the junction of Stryiska Street and Vernadskyi Street, the routes of trolleybuses No. 23 and No. 25 will be altered. Both routes will temporarily run to Khutorivka Street.
Trolleybuses No. 23 will run on the route: Ryashivska Street — Khutorivka Street. Trolleybuses No. 25 will run on the route: Shota Rustaveli Street — Khutorivka Street. Trolleybuses No. 22 will operate without changes, with vehicles with autonomous running on the line.
Bus routes No. 3A, 9, 10, 25 and 40 will continue to operate according to their usual routes without changes.
The works at the site are being carried out by the contractor “Onur” with deferred payment.
The repair of Stryiska Street on the section from Naukova Street / St John Paul II Avenue to the Lviv boundary is being carried out in stages. First, the even-numbered side in the direction of exit from the city (Frankivskyi district) was renewed, and from 10 June works began on the opposite side, in the direction of entry into Lviv (Sykhivskyi district). During the reconstruction of the main road, lanes for public transport are being arranged: in each direction there will be three lanes for the general flow of cars and a separate dedicated lane for buses and trolleybuses. On the already repaired sections, the new traffic arrangement is already in effect.
