About 300 locations in the Lviv region are ready to accept the capacities of enterprises of the agricultural sector of the economy from the regions of Ukraine, where active hostilities are taking place. As of the end of May, 13 food industry enterprises from Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Kherson and Donetsk regions have been relocated, the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration reported.
“Our goal is to preserve Ukraine’s food security. Doing food business in the Lviv region is now relatively safe and convenient. Firstly, we do not have active hostilities, secondly, almost all types of raw materials for the production of socially important food are industrially grown in our region, and thirdly, proximity to the border saves on export logistics, “said Tetiana Hetman, director of the department.
The Department systematically monitors investment proposals for food industry enterprises from other areas.
